The pervasive impact of mental health issues resonates deeply across the lives of countless Americans. Recognizing and prioritizing mental health is essential to revitalizing the spirit of our nation. This is an issue that transcends party lines, affecting individuals of all ethnicities, ages, and social classes. It is imperative that we allocate funds in the budget to address the mental health crisis, which adversely affects veterans, families of individuals with mental health impairments, and a growing homeless population. Suicide is the 11th leading cause of death in Pennsylvania and in the United States where there are 132 suicides per day. Suicide is highest among adults ages 25-34 years, with middle-aged white males accounting for almost 70%. Brandi is committed to addressing the pressing mental health challenges facing our communities.
